We're supporting Julia's House
Dike & Son has launched a new campaign to support Julia's House, Dorset's only children's hospice – and here's how you, as a customer, can help boost the £1,500 already raised.
More than 50 of our suppliers are committed to the fund-raiser, donating anything from 2 pence to 15 pence for every packet sold of, say, dried pasta or cereal.
Products supporting the campaign are marked with a purple smiley house symbol, so watch out for them around the store.
We chose Julia’s House because it is a local charity that's doing fantastic work with children and their families in the saddest circumstances, and they deserve all the support we can give them.
Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions. The majority of the children that they care for are unlikely to live beyond the age of 18.
The Julia's House Community Team is made up of 60 nurses and carers who travel all over Dorset, providing life-changing support for families in their own homes. In 2007, the charity provided more that 7,400 hours of care for the county's children.
