New website to launch on Valentine's Day

Dike & Son's new website is set to launch on Valentine's Day, with balloons and free cake in-store on Thursday 14th February to welcome its arrival.

Developed by Dorset-based web company Strawberry Soup, www.dikes-direct.co.uk promises to be fast, bright and easy to navigate.

Andrew Dike, owner of what is possibly the west country's largest independent, family-run supermarket said: "We would like people to come and celebrate this new stage in our expansion. We may not be offering online shopping – yet – but we hope our customers will find the site a useful way of keeping up to date with what we are doing."

Andy will be penning his thoughts in a regular newsletter and those that sign up to receive it will be rewarded with a delicious free slice of cake on Valentine's Day made specially by local bakers Honeybuns to mark the occasion.

The new site will detail more than 300 special offers in our superstore and inform customers about Dike & Son's aims and ethos, including its commitment to quality.

There is a history section – and deservedly so, as the company can boast an association with Stalbridge stretching over 150 years – and a light-hearted introduction to the many staff who work at the store.

It describes our strong relationships with valued local suppliers and gives practical information about all our departments as well as the usual vital information such as opening times and parking.
